The NKBA offers the following certifications. For more information

CKD or CBD: Certified Kitchen Designer / Certified Bath Designer
The CKD/CBD professional certifications are the benchmark certification levels for the kitchen and bath industry,
indicative of education and design experience. The certified individual has completed a minimum of seven years industry experience and education.
CMKBD: Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer
This master level is synonymous with advanced achievement and experience. The
CMKBD is awarded to individuals who have 10 years of fulltime experience since their first CKD/CBD certification.
AKBD: Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer
This entry-level professional certification is for individuals that have entered the kitchen and bath industry and have graduated from an NKBA Endorsed Program.
